Short Track Series

Legends Series

General Rules

  • Rule #1 is HAVE FUN. Rules are necessary to achieve a fair playing field but drivers should never lose sight of rule #1.
  • Drivers are expected to be prepared for their race and be able to maintain a "low" and "high" line for each track. It is your responsibility to control your car at all times. This applies during all green and yellow flag conditions.
  • The BOARS2 Series requires\that you use "1" ID during all of the BOARS races. This simplifies the scoring system. The Race ID format is:   #[your number]_[first initial, last name]  example: 13 car,  Rob Robbins would be #13_RRobbins. One race ID will be for all series.
  • No duplicate car numbers. Check the BOARS2 Members section to see what numbers are available.
  • BOARS2 is a league of primarily older racers. We require that league members be 18 years of age or older.
  • Respect other drivers and they will respect you.

Race Rules - All Series

  • BOARS2 uses double file restarts, both at the starts, and on the restarts. There will be penalties issued on occaison during these restarts. Don't worry about the penalty, it will be cleared by the admin during the 1st green flag lap. Don't keep telling the admin that you have a black flag unless you still have it after one green flag lap. During pace laps/yellow flag laps, stagger your position - odd postitons (1,3,5, etc.) to the inside, even (2, 4, 6, etc.) postitions to the outside.he race admin will tell the filed when to go double file, keep the same odd/even positions while doubling up.
  • In addition to the Lucky Dog, BOARS2 uses a more liberal 'wave around' rule. All lapped cars who do not pit during a yellow flag will get the wave around.  If you are a lap down, but not in position for the Lucky Dog, and wish to get back on the lead lap (or get a lap back), simply do not pit, and tell the race admin that you are a wave around car, and are not going to pit. If you take the wave around, you cannot pit until one green flag lap has been completed. Both the Lucky Dog,nd the wave around cars must wait for instructions from the race admin before coming around to the tail of the field.   When the Lucky Dog and wave arounds are sent around, the field should sort out like this:

                                   Lead Lap Cars
                                   Lapped, non-wave around cars
                                   Wave Around Cars
                                   Lucky Dog
                                   Penalty Cars

  • There is a 2 incident rule. If you cause two yellow flags during an event,  you need to park it for the remainder of the event. An incident is defined as any accident or self-spin you cause, which brings out the yellow flag. If there is an expection to this rule, it will be addressed in the drivers meeting. Short Track Series events: You only need to park for that particular heat/main, if there are remaining events, you may particiapate in those events.

Chat/Autochat

  •  Teamspeak is mandatory in the Boars2 Racing League.
  • No Flaming toward any other driver will be tolerated. This is grounds for expulsion from the league.
  • No chat during quialifying. This appies to both TeamSpeak and autochat.
  • TeamSpeak is there for all of us to use. During green flag runs, keep chat race related. During yellow flag conditions, keep chat to a minimum - the admins have to sort out the field, there may be penalties to be addressed - either cleared or added.
  • hen given the one to go, all  non-race related chat ceases.

Provisionals

  • Effective 2/14/2010. There is no time limit as to how long you have to request a provisional. We will go back to 2/14/2010, if you request a provisional.
  • In order to receive a provisional, go to the website forum, there is a Provisional Request thread under each series. Post your request, include the race and date. An admin will add your provisional points to that race.
